Grocery Shopping with Michelle

My good friend Judy Kimball knows I love everything Obama, so she sent me this swell bag, featuring the First Lady of Fabulous.

Very cool, I know...

My New Coffee Cup

My new Barack Obama cup arrived yesterday, to replace the one my friend Brook gave me that my husband Mark broke.

Of course, Barack Obama didn't say "Happy Birthday to you Glow" on my birthday but the coffee cup says it everyday.

If You Want to Know Barack Obama

Read this book.

Michelle Obama says that if you want to understand the President, you need to understand Hawai`i. That's definitely true.

But you can get a window into his values (service to others, good listener, etc.) by reading
A Singular Woman, The Untold Story of Barack Obama's mother. Written by Janny Scott,
a former NY Times correspondent, it is very well researched and well written.

Ann Dunham was an amazing woman, just like her son is an amazing man.

Imua!

Cool Hand Luke

Cool Hand Luke couldn't match the cool of my hero and our President Barack Obama!

Saw his 60 minutes interview tonight and he was in control and on point. And that poker face masquerading as a poker smile at the Correspondent's dinner.

How can he not be re-elected? He's smart (brilliant), highly educated, cool as they come, and a real American to boot!

He's Still THE Man

I am back on the Imua Barack site because it's election time again, and I want to do anything I can to help.

He's steely, he's tough, he's funny, he's brilliant. He's Barack.

When I last wrote on this blog, Barack Obama had just been inaugurated and my language was still inspired by barackobamaismynewbicycle.com

You may remember that I was lucky enough to be a permanent substitute in his fifth grade class. I was new to Hawai`i and feeling all alone. I thought it must be worse for him because he was the only black kid in my class. Later, I found out he belonged here more than I did: he was black, and he was white. Hawai`i has a word for that: hapa. He's half and half. He's the face of the best of America.

Yesterday my husband broke my Barack Obama coffee cup: I am getting a new one. When it gets here I will take a picture and post it.

P.S. I am going back on my politicalglow blog as well but that is reserved for clotheslining the other side.
